    Custom Field as Unique (just like email/username)

    How can I achieve this? At post a new ad form (custom) I have a field 'phone number'. How can I make it unique, that if the user wants to use an already used one, it returns an jquery like validation error (or somo other sort of)? Is this hard to achieve?
