    Drop-down field search by typing first letters

    I have build some custom fields and forms in Classipress, that works great. But now I have custom drop-down fields with a lot of items, and I would like to give the user the option to start typing the first letters after opened the drop-down menu of that field so they don't have to scroll all the time. How can this be done?
