    Half size search bar when removing "post an add"

    Hi there

    I'm trying to remove the "Post an Add" Button and the "Categories" drop down search on theme-header.php and whenever I do I the search box goes to half the size and I get an additional grey banner at the top of the homepage...

    Any thoughts?
