Hardcore feature into child theme OR build it into a Plugin????

I have been thinking about this dilemma long and hard for some time now and have finally reached a decision.

What is this feature? Well, I have been reading through quite a few threads regarding the Advanced Search / Refine Results filtering of the ad prices.

Some of you find that the price slider is not functioning how you would like it to. Especially if you have a wide range of prices on your website. The newly implemented show thousands approach has not quite addressed the issue of having prices that go up to tens and hundreds of thousands or even millions, which some countries have to deal with. The price slider here becomes very tricky to control indeed.

So the challenge was find a way to change the price slider into min and max input fields instead, and this is what I have come up with...

When the plugin is activated, the price slider is replaced by min/max input fields, like so:

When plugin is not activated it will still show the original appthemes price slider / thousands solution, like so:

The reason I have decided upon the plugin option is so that you are not limited to having to purchase my own child theme to get this feature. This means anyone can use it in whatever child theme they have. Whether that is one that they have already purchased, thinking of purchasing or one that they have created themselves.

What I would like to know now is, who and how many of you would like this feature added to their website?
