    horizonal alignment of sub-categories

    i want to display sub-categories over the home page in horizontal alignment intead of going vertical (i.e. default), i have more then 25 subcategories under one category and the list display vertically so on, i want to distribute that list in 2..or 3 colomns

    could anyone tell me how is it possible
