How can I duplicate an existing Classipress color scheme to make my own one?

I'm looking to make somewhat of a "child theme" by just duplicating the existing "Green" color scheme that already comes with Classipress. I thought I'd be able to do this by just creating a new "green.css" and renaming it to something like "mycolor.css", but that doesn't work as it will not appear as an option in the dropdown under Settings>>Color Scheme.

Has anyone successfully done this or know how to?
