how to edit the search query with custom search field...

Hi, I am new with classipress.. right now I am trying to add a "City" field in the search form, I have already putted the "City" with a name of "cp_city".
In default the search is done via GET method such as www.mysite.com/?s=here&sa=search&scat=0, in my case I added cp_city so it look like this
    http://www.mysite.com/?s=here&sa=sea...p_city=NewYork...

My question now is where can I edit the search query for that? so I can add the cp_city in the search query for the City Field..

Thanks in advance, any help will be appreciated..
