How to enable Unlimited/Dealer posting

Under USERS/ALL USERS/EDIT USER, there is an Extended Profile section which allows me to enter the I.D. (#) of a Membership Pack which I, as an admin, can activate for a user. Entering the number "3", for example, correctly displays the name of the corresponding Member Pack I created.

However, though this membership has an assigned length of 365 days, the Extended Profile is showing the Expires Date as today in 2013 (should be today's date in 2014).

If I manually enter next year's date in the Membership Pack Expires Date: field, that date will then be correctly displayed in the box below it - but grayed out. The footnote says this can only be changed by admins, but that field is not DIRECTLY accessible.

SO - shouldn't the expiration date be automatically set based on the 365 day term I have set?

AND - how is unlimited/dealer posting "enabled"?
