how to retract the option selection after refine result

Hi,

My site have a long list of "Check Box" on Refine Result (Refine Search), I think it should not force the "Check Box" extend all the time . It make the site look ugly.
I would like to set the "Check Box" retract after pressing "Refine Result" button even some of the "Check Box" are ticked.

What code should I edit ?
