How do we translate a mod from a third party?

Hello,

Is there someone that could tell me how to translate a 3rd party mod for Classipress? I downloaded the files and I know that they work fine (I uploaded them with ftp and everything is running smoothly), but the rest of my site is in French and all the new mod options are in English.

I don't know what files to modify, and I have no idea where to start.
