Inegrating built in google maps for another purpose

Looking to use built in maps pack for store locator type application. I want someone to be able to put in a zip code and it map a list of addresses (not lat/long) from a mysql db using the address of a store.

    Any ideas of how?

    Thanks,

    Clint
