    making site private until tested

    how do I make my site private until I have finish building it and testing it. so I want the site to be invisible to everyone but me and I will see it just like the public would for testing purposes. after its tested then I throw the switch and it goes live. right now I have a bunch or weird ads and people on there and I want to get them all off and start over fresh. then test in private so I can test until I am ready to go live. how do I do this?
