    "Mark Sold" function not appropriate for other categories

    I have a classified ads site that has "For Rent" and "For Hire" main categories. Obviously, having the "Mark Sold" feature won't work -- especially when an ad under "For Hire / Secretarial" comes to have a "This item has been sold" label, don't you think?

    Is there a way for this feature to be turned off for specific categories?

    Or better yet, could this functionality have more granularity in the next version of CP? Like, it would be nice if the admin could specify that each category created should be marked as "sold", "out of stock", etc. Best would be to have this functionality as completely user-defined (err--I mean, admin defined).
