    Modifying ClassiPress Theme

    Hello, I've just set up a site with ClassiPress 3.1-RC1 and I want to change it in several ways:

    • add new header logo and lose AppThemes ad
    • change body background color
    • lose elements in the footer
    • etc.


    my question is – do I make all these changes to ClassiPress theme files? So, for example, modifying header.php, footer.php, and style.css

    If so, what happens to the theme when it updates? I would lose all these changes?

    Or can you point me in the direction of setting up a child theme for ClassiPress if that is the alternative.
