Problems With New WP Text Widget?
On the face of it, it looked like the upgrade to WP4.8 bought us a new toy in the way of a text widget that you could customise with it's own HTML code.
In many ways un-necessary, I wonder how many of you have since checked your text widgets since, and found that the new HTML is now being stripped out, making it a pile of drivel?
Personally, I never bothered, as the excellent Black Studio widget sorted out any HTML widget stuff, but just recently I needed to add just a simple piece of text into a sidebar and found that the new text widget couldn't handle bugger all due to it not even opening.
All is not lost though as the OLD text widget can be downloaded for free from here
