    Remove Category Hover Menu

    I would like to leave the category link in the menu to click to go to the categories page, but remove the menu that comes up on hover. Is it easy to change using a child theme? Sorry if this has been asked before. I searched and all I could find were people wanting to remove the entire Category link from the menu.
