    Search Bar Removal

    I need to remove the search bar completely. The bar that says "what are you looking for". It is not suitable for my smart phone application. I know there is a php file called searchbar.php, but i do not know what to do. Please advise.
    p.s, I am on version 3.6.1 (and want to stay there).
