Users putting price range in their ad.

Using Seth's method to correctly display prices worked great for removing all the extra $, and other artifacts. However, for some reason I keep getting complaints that they can not post a price range.
For example, they enter 20-100 and it displays as $20,100.00.

I know this is just the mod working. It's stripping out the - and putting in the , and the .00 just like we want it to. But what can we do to allow both? So that it strips out the extra $ but allows the - and maybe even ads -$ if they do use a price range. So that if they enter 20-100 it displays as $20-$100 with our without the decimals.

I guess the users complaint is that having a price end up with two $$100 is not going to change the actual price read by the buyer. But when it shows up as $20,100.00 that is a real problem.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,
    TroyD
