Yet another reCaptcha in Contact Form Question

I've tried every single tutorial for using the recaptcha and the single ad contact form.

I've managed to get the site to correctly display the form, it even kind of works... If you don't write anything and try to submit the form you get the message that the captcha is wrong.. and if you complete everything and submit you get a message stating that the email was sent..

problem is that no email is ever sent.

I disabled the sidebar-contact.php from my child theme (in order to test the original one from the parent theme) and the email is sent as soon as I submit the form.


Anyone seeing this?? What is everyone doing to protect that form??
