    Image issues

Hi, I am new to CP, and I have a quick question.

Most of the ads on my site don't have images and when they show up on the list, the thumbnail appears as a blue question mark. I was wondering if there was anyway to change the appearance so that if no image is added to the post that standard image displaying "no image" appear. Alternatively, is there any way to just remove the thumbnails from the list view?

    Thanks for the help.

Yes you can remove the thumbnail from list view. Go to your CP settings and there is an option "Show Picture on Front Page".. just change this to "No" and you can select category icons instead.

    Thanks that worked perfect.

One more question, is there any way I can add my own images to the icon list?

I'm not entirely sure if there is something else you would need to do, but the rest of the icons are relatively easy to locate in the classipress/images/category icons folder..so I suspect you may just be able to put them in there?

Has the option "remove thumbnail from front view" in version 3.0.2 been removed? I can't find it. Can someone please help me with this?

This thread was started prior to version 3.0, so the feature you're looking for no longer exists as I described when I originally answered the poster who started the thread.

Well in the current version you can turn off images altogether by going to your ClassiPress admin options, and changing "Allow Ad Images" to "No".. however you won't see the image in the ad itself either..

To achieve no thumbnail in the homepage view, but still an image in the ad you would need to customize the code.. You can always start a new thread in mods and tutorials section of the forums if you're looking for help with this..(be sure you're posting under v 3.0 area)
