    New Post Must Be Approved - Email Admin

    Hello,

    When a person posts a new ad, we want to approve it first. I know there is a way to have the Admin user notified that there is a new post. But I can not fiqure out how to do it. Can anybody help?

    Is there nobody here that can help with this issue? Did I not explain it correctly?

    On our site it is required to have the ad approved before it is seen on the site.
    It was working good, a person would post an ad and an email would be sent to the admin of the site.

    And now that dosen't work any idea's on how to get it back?

    Does it send an email to the "User" listed as the administrator?
    Or
    Does it send the email to the word press admin under the word press setting?

    Please be patient, the support here consists of volunteer mods and other members of the community and we do our best to try and respond to each question, but you need to take into consideration all the different time zones here

    As you say, it was working previously so what changes have you made to your settings recently? Yes, it will look for the default admin address you have set up on the Wordpress install under the "General settings".

    If you have your ClassiPress settings as such that E-mail notications are set to "Yes" then the site admin should receive an e-mail whenever a new ad is posted. Having your default ad status on "Draft" will ensure they are not published and require approval.

    The only thing i did was upgrade the version of wordpress.
    I am trying to get this fixed before I go in for surgery. I need it to work for the person who will take my place.

    I do have it set to email after the ad is submitted.

    Dosen't Classipress have a support staff?

    ClassiPress is a one-man company (David Cowgill) with a small team of volunteer mods helping in the forums.

    Are you receiving other e-mails for the site such as registrations? Have you changed the admin e-mail address at any point? What verson of CP are you using? Have you made any modifications to the installation of CP at all? Did you notice the problem immediately after the WP upgrade?

    OK didn't know it was a small company.
    How do I know what Version CP I Have? I think it 2.9.2?

    I am not sure when it started. I just know that is the only thing that has changed recently.

    No we haven't made any modifications.

    What about registration e-mails, are you getting those? Do you have any e-mail related plugins in use on the site?

    I would recommend you upgrade to the latest release of CP 2.9.3 as there were some fixes for e-mail related issues.

    Where do I get the 2.9.3 CP at?
    I will check the new user registration.
    No email plugin's
