Automatic SITEMAP submission creates any issues to Google?

hello guys,

we are using google "Google XML Sitemaps with Multisite support", this plugin sending out the automatic pings to google and other search engine.

we have been doing great, but since last 15 days, google has stopped sending traffic to our website.

i read some articles they say Google hates automatic submission of site maps, and penalize such kind of website.

So my main question is, do you people also face such kind of issues? or is there another way out?
