Medium Impressions, Super High Clicks, Zero Sales...
Ok, so I have had an interesting problem with my Clipper site. I have had it for at least 2 years. After about 6 months I started getting decent sales and commissions. I use Linkshare and Commission Junction mostly. (Used to use Google too).
Now the site is fairly popular, gets great traffic but I am getting zero commissions. I even had my CJ account deactivated today for no activity. Here's what is interesting...
I will have 100 impressions on a coupon.
I will have 10,000 clicks.
Odd? Yes, I agree.
I will have zero sales or commissions for 10,000 clicks.
This is the same for both CJ and Linkshare. I am not sure how clicks can be higher than impressions. Very odd. I have requested both CJ and Linkshare to check my accounts and they have and say nothing is wrong. I do get a lot of robots who try to comment spam the coupons. But that would artificially inflate impressions, not clicks.
Anyhow, I have a great Clipper site getting tons of traffic, tons of impressions, and even if I accept just a fraction of the clicks - I'm getting a LOT of clicks. My site analytics and traffic reports tend to show the impressions that Linkshare and CJ report are realistic. I can't explain the clicks. But to have no sales in over 6 months? I used to get at least one commission every day
Anyone else experience anything similar?
