[classipress_searchbar] category search issue

Im using the ads home template as my home screen. [classipress_searchbar] and the far right input is a dropdown menu of all the categories. when I select a certain category and hit "search" what follows is a page of all the current listings posted to my website. Not just the listings for that category. For example, If I select "FORD" as my category it simply shows all the ads instead of just Fords. How do i edit this plugin? Any Help is much appreciated. Also, if you use the category drop down in the header bar the issue doesn't occur.
