Category pricing problem

Hello again

I currently have a setup that is 3 categories deep. I'm using the first sub category as a parent to the 2nd sub category that I want users to post listings to. The idea is it looks like:

|_Parent 1
|___Sub Category 1
|______Sub Category 2 £4.99

The problem I have with this is that you can't turn category price off for Sub Category 1. This would be nice.. I don't think putting a 0 really cuts it, and there is a problem with just putting it at 0:

Naturally when filling out the form it skips being able to post to Sub Category 1 and brings up the selection box for Sub Category 2, but for a split second it displays a 'GO' button. If you press it quick enough it allows you to post to Sub Category 1. If the price of Sub Category 1 was 0, it would allow a free posting to what I'm using as a parent category.

Any advise?
