    Custom Post Type & Taxonomy URLs

    Okay, this is driving me crazy.

    I am trying to change the Ad Category Base Url and am running into some problems. The default is:

    ad-category

    I am trying to just delete it. When I delete it and leave it blank, I get the following:

    ad-cat

    I am not sure why. If I change it to "models" or the letter "a", it recognizes those changes. But, I cannot get it to be blank. Does it have something to do with my permalink choice? I am currently using the "post name" permalink designation.
