Displaying Phone number (Custom Field) on listing owners widget sidebar

Hello,

I am a newbie I just purchased Classipress about 2 weeks ago, just trying to get the site up and running. I have to confess it hasn't been easy, I have spent days consistently trying to do little customization :distress. At the moment, I am trying to add a custom Phone number field to the listen owner widget on the sidebar. I have gone through the forum, I came across some guides some of which are more than 10 years ago, I am not sure if those guides will still be applicable since the theme has evolved overtime. Do i need a plugin for that? or is it something that can be done.
