editing an ad listing

Sorry if I'm asking too many questions but hopefully the answers will be useful to others as well as me...

This is about editing an already-posted ad. I created a form template with 10 fields, then created a sample ad where I filled in 5 of the 10 fields. When I went to edit the ad, the only fields I was able to access were the ones I had already filled in.

I'm thinking if someone posts an ad and they don't fill in a certain field (because they don't have the information at that time), and then later they do want to add certain information, they can't without re-listing the ad from scratch.

Have I missed something obvious and/or is there a setting I can change that allows whoever posted the ad to fill in certain fields at a later date, if they haven't been filled in before?
