Endless Paypal loop?

Because of the default placement of the Coupon field (asked here https://forums.appthemes.com/help-using-classipress/placement-coupon-code-field-100808/), users often miss entering a coupon and are directed to the PayPal site.

But if the user clicks on the ‘Cancel and Return to mysite.com’ link to cancel the transaction, they are returned to my site but are redirected to PayPal again. This causes an endless loop.

I see that it’s been reported before and I made sure my IPN was setup on my site and in PayPal, but that didn’t correct the problem.

Any suggestions or updates on this?
