I read another forum article regarding the use of domain name forwarding. I set up WordPress Multi-Site and have my main domain site at maindomain.com (example). I purchased two additional domain names (otherdomain1.com and otherdomain2.com) that are being forwarded, with "masking", to sub-folders at maindomain.com. For example: otherdomain1.com points to maindomain.com/folder1/ and otherdomain2.com points to maindomain.com/folder2/
GoDaddy (and other providers) have the ability to "mask" the forwarding of the domain name (let's say otherdomain1.com). When you point it to another site (maindomain.com/folder1/), the address bar retains the original name (otherdomain1.com) while you browse the site. I've used this masked forwarding for years and this is the first time I've encountered a problem.
Any suggestions other than to undo the masking option?
