How to delete un-used images from the directory?

Hi:

Recently our hosting provider notify us that we crossed the INODE limit and that impact our site speed and loading time. Then we did an analysis and found our one ad post creates 10 dimensions of images.

So it creates huge number of used and un-used images. Now we need to delete un-used images from the directory to stay in to the INODE limit. We are guessing (bit confused too) all dimensions images are not using our ClassiPress site.

Could you please suggest me 2 things and its really urgent now for us:

i) How to stop creating un-used images for each ad post ?
ii) How to bulk delete un-used images from the directory ?
