    How to use the default classipress.pot file to change lots of text in English?

    English is the default template for my site.
    I'm making extensive changes in the classipress.pot file. (To avoid making a lot small text changes in core files and creating a big child-theme)
    I've tried everything including making a wp-content/languages/themes/classipress-en_US.mo file.
    And it's not working.
    Where am I maybe making a mistake?
