Image upload issue - responsive view on mobile phone.

Hi,

I have just converted my child theme to a responsive theme. Everything works as it should within reason.

However - I am testing posting an ad using my mobile phone which is a samsung galaxy s2.

If I use the basic uploader to upload an image I can select 'choose file' to choose an image from my phone I get two defualt options from the pop up on my phone.

This pop up says - Select files to upload and the two options are: Gallery and Music.

If I select gallery I can then choose any image by viewing the image via my phones gallery. (Note - I can physically see the image I want to upload)

Now then. My issue is this.

If I use the flash uploader and select the add image tab, I get presented with a completely different viewing option.

All I get now is a list of image files very much like this:

20111221_2124345.jpg
/mnt/sdcard/DCIM/Camera/20111221_2124345.jpg

I cannot see the images I would like to upload - just the image name and a direct path to the image like above.

This is a problem because if a customer/user wanted to upload an image using the flash uploader which is also the default option, they would also get this list if using an android phone. (I havent tested this on an iphone yet).

If they also had a huge amount of photos they wouldn't have a clue what photo they wanted to upload, and thus probably wouldn't bother.

Is there a fix for this or is this just common to the flash uploader on an android phone?
