Need advice with category options

Hi i have a site i am trying to organize,
lets say all my 10 main categories are different makes of cars, and then a sub category called wheels but all my main category's have subs of wheels also.

is there any way people can search all wheels for all cars so they see all different makes, or would i manually have to add a category called wheels, but before i review and publish listing, would i add it into the category in word-press dashboard each time.

i think its the only way, but if someone knows different please say.
