Price tag icon on ads missing if words are used for cp_price field - Multiport

I’m developing a new buy, sell & trade type site using Wordpress 3.8.1, Classipress 3.3.2 and MultiPort 3.0.

I have the “Clean Ad Price Field” unchecked, which should allow a user to type words in the price field. I can type words in Price field but once I submit the ad the price tag icon in the upper right of the ad listing no longer appears. I know that before I installed the MultiPort child theme the price tag used to appear on the ad with the word “Trade”. in it which is what I want.

Now, no price tag icon appears on the ad listing if words are used in the price field. I use the core cp_price. Is htis a side effect of MultiPort and if so, how do I get the old functionality back?

See the site http://www.barterbistro.com and notice the guitar listed on the home page ‘Just Listed’ tab has no price tag icon at all.
