Thread: Remove the drop down from "Ad Package:" since we only have one Package

Remove the drop down from "Ad Package:" since we only have one Package

We have only one ad package and won't be offering memberships. We'd therefore like to remove the drop down style/feature from the Post an Ad form's "Ad Package:" line. (see picture attached). Making it a drop down kind of suggests there should be other options showing in the drop down, but there aren't --which looks like it might be a mistake.

1. Is it possible to change that to display a simple text box when there is only 1 ad package activated? 2. Or hide that whole line all together? (see attached screen shot)

I initially posted this in the General Discussion forum, but the response I got didn't completely solve the problem. Samcy suggested that I comment out or remove the code for the "Ad Package" line, (The part that needs to be removed is inside the /classipress/includes/custom-forms.php starting around line 536). BUT, when I did that, it hid the box all right, but then when I clicked "Continue" on the form, gave an error message that said "You need to choose an ad package."

Any idea how to fix this or can you suggest another way to handle this problem? It's been over a week since I posted this on the General Discussion forum, but still no response. Thanks!
