Inserting Product Images Instead of Store Images

Has this feature been handled yet where we can insert Product Images instead of Store Images? The prior posts regarding this are all over a year old.

Is there a separate plugin to handle this?

I would think if all you need is an additional Coupon Type and if that is selected it allows you to upload and override the store image.

This is pretty crucial to do anything with the product offers. No one wants an image of Amazon if we are promoting a product.
