Local installation Permalinks issue

I had installed wordpress locally (using xampp) and with clipper theme.

When i am working on it locally, Default permalinks looks fine with no issues.

such as http://localhost/wordpress/?coupon=10-off-amazon

When i change the permalinks with Custom Structure such as /%postname%/

post returns 404 error.

Will you please help in this regard.
