Balanced Payments for Non-US use?? Please support!

I understand that the Balanced Payments plugin is currently only for the US, although I have seen mentioned in a few places that they will potentially expand it internationally.

This is great to hear as I am very keen on getting this plugin for my site!! Although I cannot sit around waiting months/years for it to be introduced.
Do we have any idea of timelines on this??

If not, or it's not likely to be soon, would it be difficult for a developer to add the additional functionality to support other Payment methods (i.e. other than Paypay via PayPal Adaptive)?

I have added my support for it to be expanded for international use on the following website:
    https://github.com/balanced/balanced-api/issues/294
Anyone also interested for this plugin to also support non-US countries should register their interest here!!
