Navigation changes/ Custom pages link to existing theme pages

So i'm finding this theme a little difficult to navigate from a logged in user "my account" perspective.

A solution i determined might help is adding new pages to the menu bar that link to certain pages.

For Example:
I want to create a page called "My Projects" and put it in the menu bar visible to only logged in users. It should link to the "projects" page located under the dashboard menu in attached picture.

I want to do this for all the links under dashboard:
Dashboard => Recent
Notifications => Notifications
My Projects=> Projects
My Finances => Payments
etc.

Help with how to do this and/or a suggestion to help simplify navigating user dashboard setting would be much appreciated.
