Sales Taxes & Money Laundering Act conflicting with Hirebee - (esp. with escrow)
Hi there,
i have Tax regulation Problem with Hirebee and the Escrow Service.
Or the Marketplace in general.
I live in Germany - Well known for overregulating everything...
Maybe someone has the same Problem. Would be great to hear who you handle that.
My Platform should be used by professionals in Germany, Europe and also International.
Due to Sales Tax Regulations and Money Laundering Act itīs difficult to offer the Escrow Service without a License of the BaFin!
This as Info for European Hirebee Users!!
This could cause a Lawsuit if you donīt have that License.
So i thought about, that the Employers hire the Platform not the Freelancers. The can choose one, the Freelancers did the work, but I charge for their work as an Agency and Invoice the Employer.
Itīs not a proofed Procedure but maybe safer and not conflicting with the law.
The other Problem:
In Germany we have 19% Sales Taxes.
As Platform i need to charge this from our Germany Clients.
For European Employers I donīt need to Charge Sales Taxes when i have their Valid VAT Number.
For Employers outsite of Europe i think i need to charge Sales Taxes (except employers from the u.s.).
On the other Hand i need to receive invoices from my Freelancers.
Which is the same procedure with the sales Taxes.
@Community: So, how do you do it? Are their any others who thought about that Problem?
@Hirebee Team: Is Hirebee planing to integrate Sales Tax Module?
I really would like to use the Escrow Service, but for now itīs not usable.
1. I need to receive an Invoice from the Freelancers.
2. Then i have to Proceed with the Payment to the Freelancers.
At the moments itīs passed immediately to the Freelancer.
I need to approve the payment before the payment will be transferred to the Freelancer.
@Hirebee: Is their any Plan to develop this? Or do you have a hint how i can do it on my own?
I think the Tax Rules in Europe are almost the same. Hirebee as it is now, cannot be used without violating the Law.
Not if you want to handle Payments (Especially Project Payments / Escrow) over this Marketplace.
