    Confused about widget concept.. how to manage and change landing page layout

    Help me out here. I just got my JobRoller setup with the JobRight child-theme.

    I went to three different widget setting pages in admin and it's not clear to me how widgets work. For example, can I remove the "Radius" option on the search box (aka "widget"??) ? Also, can I disable the company logo that is shown on the "Latest Listings" (widget?). Finally, there is a "browse by" widget on the right hand column and I'd like to configure it to display a list of categories instead of an expandable tree containing "Job Type", "Job Salary", "Job Category" .. and so on. Hope I'm making sense.

    Is this stuff user configurable or do I have to dive into code/php?

    Any help would be much appreciated.
