New tax EU Regulation starting 1.1.15

Hi,

I'm wondering if you are aware of the new EU tax regulation starting 1.1.15 which makes it necessary to identify customers based on their location/home an charge them the right tax (customer country tax instead of provider site tax). It will be necessary especially when you charge for packages to private persons.

I could not find something in your forum.

I think it will be necessary to add mandatory fields at registration for 'country' and in case of companies 'VAT number' as well as a possibility to charge VAT based on customers location.
In case of a company with tax number (outside your own country) you can set VAT to zero, in all other cases you need to charge the right tax.

Anyone has an idea how to solve?
