Slug renaming -2

hi, I had to re-install jobroller and now some of my job types are showing with slug "part-time-2"; "full-time-2" the "-2" being the issue.

I have managed to fix the problem in the default theme style sheet, however if I upgrade or re-install again I will lose the changes.

One solution I read was to make sure trash was empty and wait for WP to clear out trash, however this was for pages, not Job Types. I see you can delete job types, but assume this does not "remove them perminantly" hence when I added the job type again the slug was labelled "-2"? Please can you advise on a way to stop new slugs being added with "-2". As stated I think this means I have just got to remove the old slug permanently.
