    Strength of password impedes page from advancing

    In Admin, I had set my site to allow users' own passwords. But, during testing, I noticed that the password field would not accept any passwords that are 'weak', and the page would not advance! Should this really matter? I think it should all be down to the individual user. However, when I changed it so that a computer-generated password is sent via email, there was NO email at all. Which way forward please, anyone? Cheers.
