[VANTAGE] - Jetpack Publicize to work with new listings and new events

How can I get the Jetpack Publicize, which allows you to connect your blog to popular social networking sites and automatically share new posts with your friends, to work with new Listings and Event in the Vantage theme? What hacks are required or is this something that can be switched on somehow?

I also have a second unrelated question, this is just for my curiosity as a novel developer . I am baffled to work out how Wordpress knows to display the Listings on the Front Page when it is set to Home. The Home page is blank and any additional test will not display anywhere. Is this Home page that comes with the Theme some special page with code behind invisible? What happens if I delete the Home page and re-create another one called Home, will I loose that functionality to display listing?

I tried as an experiment to rename the Home page to Home2 and created my own Home page. My new Home page did not display the listing, Home2 still displayed the listing. So there must be something special about this Home page, what is it and how does it work?
