Add new currency

Hi,

Just updated to 1.3.2 Having an issue with changing back the currency to my country's currency. I looked at the tutorial but it says to paste the code in the "init hook"??

"To add a currency, you’ll want to use APP_Currencies::register_currency() on the init hook."

After searching I found that init hook is in the folder includes/theme-functions.php
but I don't seem to have that file in that folder? and how do I put that in the Child theme? Style.css doesn't compile php codes.

please help.
