I can´t change my home page

Hi, I tried to change my homepage listings, but i can´t change the default sort method, I want to use the newest listings in my home-page but is imposible, I tried a lot of thinks but nothing work. If i tried to change the sort method in the home page It not change anything, what i can do to solve this issue, or this bug.
