Change Widget title in Child Theme via .mo file

Vantage Theme


Using a child theme - vantage-vchild


language is Site language: English (United States)


I would like to use the language files to change (for example) the name of the "Create Listing Widget".


say (for example) from "Add a business now" to "Add a Voluntary Org"


I think I have followed Dimitris's instruction in http://forums.appthemes.com/help-usi...s-theme-52674/


so i now have a file, with the changes, named vantage-vchild_en_US.mo in a folder at wp-content/languages/themes.


but nothing happens !!

i note that the vantage.pot file is in the parent theme folder.
