How do I hide the Search Controls?

Hi again Dimitris,

I would like to hide the Seacrh Controls so that they only appear on the listings page(s).
I created a child theme and in the header.php file, just before the code to show the search controls I used a is_page() condition.

This hide the search controls on every page, not just the one selected, reverted the header back to the standard Vantage header and screwed up the background.
Any mod for this you can recommend?
